SMC Vortex Clutches

*Vortex - the latest technology in kart racing clutches. The spring is twisted to store energy (similar to a whirlpool or vortex) in order to connect directly to the lever. The clutch responds more quickly at the onset of engine bogging consequently allowing the clutch to remain within 40 rpm of the peak torque value where maximum acceleration occurs. Engagement is very smooth.
